Dog Obedience Drop-in Class
(No Charge for Members)

All Classes are on Thursday Evenings
from 7:00 p.m to 8:00 p.m.
At the San Diego Zoo Parking Lot

Purpose & Class Requirements:  Dogs attending drop-in must be able to heel, sit, down, come, stay, stand and finish. Obedience skills are not taught in this class but it is a great place to practice and polish skills learned in the beginning or intermediate class and continue the socialization of your pet. If you are not sure if your dog has the proper skill level to participate in this class, please ask to speak to the training director for a quick assessment.

Guidelines for students:

1) Wear proper, comfortable clothes and closed-toed shoes.
(No flip flops or high heels.)

2) Use a proper fitting training collar. Your training leash should be about six feet and made of either leather or fabric.  Flexi leads are not allowed for training.

3) Positive training methods are our club philosophy so bring bait or treats that your dog enjoys and a “bate bag” as most students around you will be training with treats.

4) Have a “Poop” bag handy in class.

5) Be prompt, polite and listen to the trainer! What they are telling another student just might also apply to you.

6) Have fun with your dog and if you have questions, ask the trainer!
We are here to help you.

This class meets each Thursday from 7:00 – 8:00 pm. You can attend as many or as few as you like. There is no fee, but students must be members of the club.  Please check in and show your membership card at the information table prior to the start of class. You will receive a hand-stamp.
